AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Latest Free Story Update
This patch also introduces the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
